Has anyone had there surgery by Dr. Guillermo Alvarez or Dr Joya in Mexico?

Do your research on dr. Joya. There's another forum I'm on where several patients of his have had severe infection and wound care needs after surgery.

Can you direct me to that website. Thank you. I haven't found bad reviews on him (Dr Joya) in my research.
Also how was your experience with Dr. Alvarez?

HW 302 lbs. SW 279.8 lbs. CW 193.8 lbs MFP Jarabacoagirl Preop diets 22.2 lbs, 1st month 21.2 lbs, 2nd month 14.6 lbs, 3rd month 11.2 lbs, 4th month 7 lbs, 5th month 7 lbs, 6th month 6.8 lbs, 7th month 5.2 lbs, 8th month 4.4 lbs 9 and 10th months slowed down didn't record exactly

108.2 lbs lost from highest weight!

(86.2 lbs of that was lost since surgery date)

VSG on 09/01/08 with

I had surgery with Dr. Joya in 2008. Zero problems and maintaining goal. I received excellent care from him and his staff. The hospital was spotless!!! It was a great experience. As for the travel, I had requested wheelchair assistance from the airlines so there were no issues. There was someone from Dr. Joya at the airport to meet me and handle my luggage. I had no issues at all. It was more like a vacation to me. I made some great friends with other patients of his and we still keep in touch. The beach was wonderful and I was walking it on the third day. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
