Hey guys. I had my surgery last Friday and haven't had a bowel movement since last Thursday.  This is starting to get extremely uncomfortable and I was wondering if it's a problem to use milk of magnesia. Nothing else seems to be working and I'm desperate.
Thanks!

My doctor said to use Milk of Magnesia, and follow directions on the bottle.

However, I would recommend taking half a dose.  I took a full dose and it gave me diarrhea that lasted for a day and a half.

Same here my surgeon recommended it but I found it disgusting to drink...and I needed help until I could get on some soft veggies...called him back and was cleared for Miralax, bought the Walmart version, its a tasteless powder and worked wonderful, MOM gave my diarrhea and Miralax just softened things up....  good luck with it...
