Does crystal light give anyone heartburn/reflux?
I find crystal light way too strong. I mix a half a packet in a 16-oz water bottle and it's just right however the only flavors I can tolerate are the green teas with peach and raspberry. The others burn my throat and esophagus. I actually find hot or warm tea the easiest to drink. IDK why water doesn't go down as smoothly as tea...lol... just doesn't make any sense! Also Mio is easier to drink, but has a slight after taste IMO.

I have Reflux/GERD and I have to look at the ingredients on all the sugar free drinks. If the first ingedient is citric acid, I know after one or two, my reflux will have me doubled over. I stick to the sugar free cranberry juice, water and occasionally a little trop 50. Mio, crystal light and most of the packages you add to water have citric acid
I can't drink Crystal Light or any other mix with citric acid as the main ingredient. It just doesn't sit well on my tummy. I have tried many different brands and flavors -- boxed them all up and gave them away.
I have found a new flavoring for water that I love. 16 oz water plus a light squeeze of Mio sweet tea plus a packet of True Lime. I never liked lime at all before surgery and now I love it. It's so strange how our tastes change. Same thing with chocolate -- before surgery I never like chocolate. Now, I love it --this could be a bad thing
