Hi girl!!!  After the hell that you have been through, rest assured that you will get there eventually.  Your body has gone through a major trauma, give it time to heal and worry about the pounds later.  Just do what you need to do to make yourself stronger and it will all fall into place. Your body needs the proper nourishment from the right and healthy food choices to help its healing process.  You know we had the same surgery date and I have only lost 43 pounds and I DID NOT go through your ordeal!  You are doing awesome, look forward to your new life with joy that you will be embarking on a new journey in 4 months.

The best thing is that you were loved before the 36 pounds were gone and you will continue to be loved after all the other pounds come off!  I have been praying for us and we are going to do this!  In another month we will look back and pat ourselves in the back because we will have reached another milestone.  You have so much to be grateful for, so chin up, smile and love your life!!!!  It is going to get even better!

Wow! Thank you all sooooooooooo much for your words of encouragement and support.  I really needed it today!  I've cried my last tear...at least for now :) and I'm going to get back in race.  As my family just reminded me that I've only been out the hospital since Mar. 6, 2012 from being there since Dec. 28, 2011 and went back to work on Mar. 7, 2012....and dealing with our 3 yr old princess that has enough energy for us all.  I just started to have a little more energy to exercise...so hopefully once I'm in a routine that will kick things into gear!  Thank you all and BIG HUGS to you!!!!

THANK YOU!!!!
I have a ways to go, but by the grace of God I will reach my goal!!!

Your weight loss is fabulous!! Don't compare yourself with others it's always painful. You are doing great and my guess is in the past it would have been hard to lose anything in 3 months that will stay off.
Celebrate every ounce and every time you choose protein over junk food. You are doing great!

Thanks so much!!! You're right it's very painful when you compare yourself to others.  I'm going to keep my chin up and head for the finish line!

Compare yourself to me.  At three months with no complications and being totally compliant i had lost 16lbs.  At 7 months where you will be at your wedding i have lost 50.  Not as much as most but it's been consistent and it has picked up in the last months.  Here's what i would say, your body was fighting infection and tons of other things in your first months it's entirely possible that it held onto your weight to help with that, also since they were feeding you through a picc line you may have been taking in higher cal or carb than you would do yourself.  All of this to say that now you're on even ground your weight loss won't cover a different pattern.  Chin up!  I mean it.

that is 12 lbs a month.. that is fantastic... i think the normal is what 1-2 lbs a week you doubled that... just think if you keep going at that rate four mour months you will be down another 48 lbs...you are doing awesome.....

So sorry you have had so many huddles to jump over, Cassandra, I really hope these complications are pretty much behind you now?   Holy Moly I cant imagine you could do as well as you have with your weight loss, living on the crappy food most hospitals feed their patients for 2.5 months...  With all you have been thru, I think your doing awesome.... I think you should be happy and proud about this weight loss.   The dress; its not you and its not your loving relationship with you fiance, its only a dress, its only cloth and you are one tough lady to have gotten thru all this, you got someone in your life who loves you, your getting married, don't let cloth spoil your day.....

"I really don't think I'm gonna lose anymore and that brings me to tears. ", you had the sleeve, of course your going to lose again, all this crap has kicked the snot out of your positive attitude...So gentle with yourself, fill your space with positive and uplifting things, to help keep your spirits up, 6 months from now all this crude will be in the rear view mirror and you will be married, YEA!!!   I pray things start going your way, every day from here......

I think that is an excellent lose!  If I were you, I'd be thrilled with that loss.

I think you had grandiose expectations for the upcoming wedding... but, you will be so beautiful at whatever weight you are.

I would love to have that kind of loss!
