3 month surgiversary and can't stop crying...I'm so sad!

Today it has been three months since my surgery and I've only lost 35-36lbs. Granted that my surgery has been difficult than most. Dealing with pancreatitis, c-diff, and blood clot from PICC line all after surgery along with a 2 1/2 month hospital stay has been rough! I really don't think I'm gonna lose anymore and that brings me to tears. All of this for nothing! I'm trying so hard! Having a wedding in 4 months and it doesn't look good for my dress!
I have a ways to go, but by the grace of God I will reach my goal!!!

Really?  In three months, you've lost 36lbs?  When is the last time you did that???  Think long and hard...considering all you've been through you've still maintained an excellent loss over the last 3 months.  That's nothing to cry over. Nothing!

You're right! I mean I've done it before with diet pills and etc and that's definitely not the right way. You're right though and I guess I will continue to keep trying!

Sweetie, cry if you want--you have been through quite a bit!

may I offer 2 (what I believe to be sound) pieces of advice?

Listen to the first reply: nothing to be ashamed of, 36 lbs in 3 months is fantastic--so give yourself credit for it.

and second, you do realize that right now, all stress aside, that you have tons of fat cells emptying into your bloodstream, and with that goes tons of extra estrogen---yeah hormones! My surgeon had told me that at times I would feel moody and as if I was out of control emotionally; but it is hormonal, and will subside shortly.

so until then (((Hugs))); and kudos on your weight loss.

Pre-surgery it's taken me a year to lose that much.  Be proud!  Don't lose heart, you will get through these challenges and get on a good track.

Good luck!

You've had such a hard road AND you've lost that much!  I'd say that is something to be proud of.

I am probably going at the same clip that you are and I haven't had those extra issues.  I too am worried about being able to lose it all.  Cry to get it out, but know that you HAVE done well.

You are awesome!  Listen to all the praise, and applause from others on the board.  What you have been through, and still accomplished to lose weight.  Talk about STRESS!!   You go girl!.  Keep your Chin up!  Change those tears of sadness to tears of JOY!  Look how far you have come, and still have 4 months before that wedding (thats what about 120 days)  You can so do this.  You have all of us as your cheerleaders!
By the way I heard crying burns calories, just remember to replace the fluids!  LOL!!!!

I agree with all the other ladies, 36lbs is nothing to turn your nose up at. You have done an amazing job with all that you have been through. You signature line says " I will make it to goal with God's Grace". Don't give up on him, just because you don't make it in the time that you thought, does not mean that you won't make it. You got this, he is with you every step of the way. Here is a group hug from all of us.
