Can't. Stop. Itching....

I feel like a five year old with chicken pox. I need my boyfriend to tape socks over my hands.. It's terrible.

So I have 8 inscision holes. My surgeon who has previously done 2 other surgeries on me (a hernia repair and a hernia mesh removal) had to make addition inscisions to clear out scar tissue from the previous surgeries.
Besides the fact that it looks like someone tried using my stomach as a dart board (seemingly random inscisions everywhere) IT ITCHES nonstop. I can't scratch around one without hitting another. What can I do to help them heal faster?????

Tell your doctor about the itchyness.  I would think he would tell you to take Benadryl, it's an antihistamine.  Don't take it without his ok.  That always helps me.

I went through the same thing, it's maddening. I was a bad patient and scratched them more than I should have. Some days my whole frontside was like a tomato! My best advice is to take an ice pack, wrap it in a couple of papertowels and press it on your incisions. It'll help take away the itching sensation.
