I am usually not a heavy sweater at all.  I am 5 days post op and having the worst sweating.  It's like a cold sweat.  I have no fever.  It's really swful.

Anyone else have this?

I get cold sweats when my blood sugar drops sort of low.  That is the only time.
But they are really awful.

Wishing you all the best, Carol

It was for me too! I thought something was wrong, but remembered everyone talking about your hormones going all out of wack. It passed after a few weeks and all became normal, or should I say what is the NEW normal. I still sometimes feel like I perspire more at times, but I am 51 lol. No hot flashes as of yet, but I do sweat at times. I again chock this up to the huge change in my life and hormones trying to readjust after surgery. It has only been 5 1/2 months for me, that is not a long time, but in some ways it feels as though I have been living with my sleeve for years. And I say that in a good way, I love my sleeve.

If you are concerned though in anyway you should call your doctors office for reassurance. Congrats to you, good luck on your journey! You are in for a good ride, follow plan and you will be astonished at how fast the weight comes off!

I had them too in the first few days. I have been in menopause for several years, and they wanted me to stop my estrogen before surgery, as it can increase the risk of clots. So I figured it was just that, but they have gone away now. The weird thing, I would get really cold, esp. at night, and be chilled and shivering, which I discovered was when I needed more pain meds -it was like I couldn't relax my muscles. That just lasted a few days or a week. I'm two weeks out now and the sweats and chills are gone -I actually feel much better than I have in several years!

Thanks to all of you.  I am starting to think it may be hormonal as I started getting really hot too.   The estrogen must be all out of whack because I also just got my period and I haven't had that in 4 months!

So I have the fan on and drinking my protein and I will wait it out.
