breaking up with food
So, I posted on my blog this morning about the things I've gone through last few days. My boyfriend Brian just called & asked what I was doing, I replied laundry & crying. He asked why & I told him the whole food thing. Then I surprised myself by saying I think it's just the whole break-up thing. Ya know when you know the whole relationship is terribly unhealthy & dysfunctional & you need to get out but you stay & then the day comes when you decide you're worht more & leave & you still cry & grieve it anyway??... well I think that's me right now. I don't want to contiue to do the things I've done & have taken the leap out but am grieving & fearful of what's to come. My surgery is on Thurs. Please feel free to go out & read my blog on my profile page. I would love to hear some experiences others have had & welcome suggestions anyone has. Is this normal or am I just freaking out??

It's normal... just like with the relationship thing, i think it's more moarning the loss of that comfort zone, more than the loss of the actual relationship... I'm still pre-op, and don't have an exact date, but started my liquid diet today... It's just a huge adjustment and I think to not expect to have some kind of stress over it would just be crazy... U can do this, just keep remembering ur goals!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

Your feelings reminded me of a post I shared a few months back, before I got sleeved. Yes - I totally understand how you feel because I've been there. Good luck with your surgery this week!

This is so so normal, and for me I still have small moments but very few and far between as I become more and more accustomed to this new way of life. Go look at my profile and read my blog. I don't post often, but you can read and check out my pics. You do not weigh much more than I did to start and if you follow plan you will be at goal before you know it.
This is a journey and you will be so happy with your results! Congrats and good luck. Keep us posted.
