One week post op. I have noticed a rounded hard area around my largest incision. The one where they pull out your no longer needed tummy. Should I worry about this?

I freaked out and thought it was a tumor or an abscess or something else. Don't google. Google gives you cancer.

Seriously though... mine went away after 2 or 3 weeks. It was freaky. But it went away. Doc said it was normal and made me promise to stop Googling.

I never had that with this surgery , but sounds like some scar tissue with healing. I have had many other surgeries.

The  larger incision is  usually where  they took tummy out,  and  they  put a few stiches to pull together on inside.  and  it  pulls more  but  my  doctor  told me  other  day  after 6 weeks  they disolve  and  you  will not  notice, the muscles  then relax  down  again.

it's definitely probably scar tissue....but keep an eye out for drainage. I had a hard knot under my biggest incision and it started draining a lot and it turned out to be a seroma. Which basically they drained and now they're packing the wound each day so it'll heal back. Not a huge deal but inconvenient.
