So-Cal Meet Up - 3/31/12
So I can plan my meals and water intake and such, are we meeting at a place where food is served? I mean, I'm familiar with the SM pier, but I don't remember what the deal is about restaurants or whatever. I know 3rd St Promenade is a short walk away. (If nothing else I can bring my own food, if it turns out that the meetup window hits during a "feeding" time.) Or should I plan not to eat during the afternoon meet-up? Either is fine, just need to "be prepared".
Also, are we meeting at the beginning of the pier? At the middle? My OCD wants to know, lol!

I've never been to the SM pier, looking forward to it. I'm not at all familiar with the fun things to do around there, so those who are in the know will have to be our guide. DH and I are planning on it. So looking forward to meeting all of you, and the beach fix is a nice bonus. Oh, we are also coming from the high desert.

That's not nice! I'm harpoonable! Kinda feel weird about the beach! :( SN: I'm in San Bernardino
BTW I was the king of that...but my old material just doesn't apply anymore...........harpoon-able? I could have sustained several Eskimo villages all winter on my blubber stores.....when I lay out on the beach.......concerned Greenpeace members try pushing me back into the water........when swimming in the ocean blue whales looked at me and said "damn dude....ever met Jenny Craig?" OK...that is just my "whale" specific stuff! Lol! See...just doesn't apply anymore! That was worthy of
It's a good thing bathing suits are not the expected attire, I'm still able to use those "whale" jokes. But not for long. I should mention that a favorite professor that I studied with once said that when we can learn to laugh at our past, we can be more possitive about our future. He probably was quoting someone, but I don't know who.

I have not been to the beach in a long time, and I won't have to worry about getting harpooned this time. :rof12:
