I have a big ol' stand unit- big enough to easily handle a double batch of cookies and bread dough. Since the VSG it has been collecting some serious dust. Time to move it out to the garage!

I have a professional with bowl lift (instead of tilt head) and uncoated beater/hook - don't know what current models are called
I love the bowl lift - once you get used to it, I find it easier to scrape bottom & sides than when the beaters are in the way. I prefer it for adding ingredients too. Its quite easy to adjust for depth/clearance too.
whatever model you get, keep it handy on the counter - you'll find yourself using it ALL THE TIME.
