Newly post op

I finally after had my procedure. gastric sleeve., 3/6, 3rd day post op and at home. Was a little tougher that I thought it would, day two being the worse for nauses and just feeling out of it because of the narcotic pain meds. Almost had a bit of "buyers remorse" but starting to slowly feel better. Anxious to feel back to what would be my normal. I am not a very patient patient.  I do better as a care giver than a care getter.
Anyone else 3 days post op, would love to have a blog-pal.

You are very kind but sadly no that is not the case.  :(

I was looking to change my profile picture to a different one but every one I tried it kept saying that it was too big and had to be less then 100 x 100 and 20,00 bits or something .. so that old picture of me was the only one I could get to work.  That is quite a few years old .. but I do look better being down 43 lbs :)  I'll have to put the old pic back up I guess.

Thanks anyway LOL!

And I agree... we deff suck as patients... being on the other side of the bed (so to speak) is soooo much easier!!! My husband thinx I'm nut cuz I hate Drs and hospitals... lol, but I'm a nurse and work in a hospital... He can't grasp that that's COMPLETELY different...

Glad ur feeling a little better, hope it continues to improve quickly!

I am one day postop and dont feel so great.  Lots of gas pain from the lapo.  And, I am having touble getting all my fluids in.  I am scared to overdoit.  Dont want it to come back up.  Also my stomach is bloated. Can't wait to get over this hump and move on to success.  I know a lot of people who have had this done and I know I can do this, just have to be patient.

Hi Jo, I was sleeved on the 6th as well. I have been very very lucky not much pain at all, mostly soreness and gas moving around.  Still bloated but I have not been sick once and my new tummy seems to take anything I have given it so far without much trouble.  It is weird trying to determine the new feeling for full ( a little burp).  I have not had the first hunger pain so I am so happy with how well mine has gone.  I braced for the worst I have heard from so many posts that so many didn't do this well but I am very surprised to say the least.  Sorry you have not had a great time of it.  I know each day will be better just make sure you walk walk walk and take your pain meds, no reason to hurt if you don't have to.  Keep me posted on how you are doing, I will be thinking of you.  Susan
