An introduction from a soon-to-be former Bandster
Hello! I wanted to introduce myself and get to know you guys.
LONG story, made short, I was banded a little over 4 years ago. I suffered a slip because of my incompetent first surgeon, and have had very poor results, even after getting my band fixed. The only time I lost a lot of weight was when my band was slipped. I couldn't even keep water down half of the time.
The surgeon I have now is the one that repositioned my band and has seen my struggles the past 2 years. My band decides to tighten up for any old reason, making it hard for me to plan and eat healthy meals way too often.
I just went to see my surgeon a couple of weeks ago (his office is 4 hours away) to get some fluid taken out. I figured I would struggle with the hunger, but I couldn't take the sliming and PBing any longer. I told him that I really wanted a revision to the sleeve. He agreed that it would be so much better for me. He said he would put in a request with my insurance company. Low and behold, I found out yesterday my revision request was approved!!!! YAY!!!
I don't know many details yet. I am supposed to get a call back from my surgeon's office on Friday to let me know what I need to do. If I need to get some tests run, etc. So, I have no idea how long I will have to wait to be sleeved, but I am very excited about it!!
If anyone has insomnia and would like to read my four and a half years worth of blogs on my profile, you will get the full story. ha ha ha Otherwise, I look forward to getting to know this group and will probably be asking you guys a million questions. Thanks for reading!!

Hi Melly,
Congrats on the fast approval. I think you will be really happy and very successful with the sleeve. I held out a very long time and stayed a very unhealthy weight just because I wanted a better procedure. I count my blessings everyday that I waited and got the best procedure for me.
Welcome to the main VSG board. It is very much like the others, but I think we have way less drama here and a ton of support.

Just had my band taken out, what a relief.... I am waiting for Medicare to approve the sleeve to revise.
Welcome I do remember your face when I was on the bandster site a couple years ago.
