Fun dinner idea for date night or a night out with friends, perfect for VSG!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share..

I recently went to the Melting Pot for the first time, I have been dying to go and finally made it happen. They have them all over the U.S. in alot of different cities. The atmosphere is a little upscale but private, we even had our own room with a sliding door.

Both me and my dinner date have had the sleeve, so I was curious to see how it would work. We ordered 1 entree to split between us which was totally affordable (this place can get pricey).

Dinner was the perfect amount for us. They bring you out a bunch of different meats, in small quantities, and you cook them yourself on fondue skewers. It makes you take your time, eat slowly, and enjoy your company.

Anyone who is afraid that the sleeve will take the joy out of going to dinner is wrong! Meals are still enjoyable, the focus is just a bit shifted from stuffing your face to taking your time and enjoying the evening.

Enjoy!

That is so funny, I ate there the night before my surgery for the first time!  I am wondering how long it will be before I can try it again.

This place is a hard sell for me.  a real trigger.  Way too close to the cheese and bread and chocolate.  i refuse the breadbasket everywhere because it looks so big i know i cannot put it in my sleeve.  But those little cubes of bread....yeah can't do it.  I was always the punter who would forgo the entree for the appetizer and desert.

I LOVE the Melting Pot. But I'm not sure I could skip the bread. Cheese fondue + bread = heaven.
