Mine is exactly one month from the date of approval. It all depends on the surgeon and their schedule, some people get dates a week or so out and some are months out. I hope you get a date soon. Good Luck!

I was notified that I was approved on January 20th and got a surgery date for Valentines Day, Feb 14, so a little less than a month after approval.

The next available date after I got my approval was six weeks out - but part of that was due to my surgeon's scheduled two week vacation.  It would have been about a month otherwise.

It depends on the surgeon's schedule and the OR schedule. Sometimes the time of year makes a difference for the OR schedules. For example, school vacation weeks fill up quickly, so kids don't miss school when they have procedures done. It's hard to get the week between Christmas and New Years, I know that from personal experience.

That said, I got a tentative date at the time the insurance was submitted. I opted for a later date so I could take a previously booked cruise first. But I could have gotten in a couple of weeks after approval if I wanted.

I got approved in May. The Dr's office wanted me to come in the next week to sign consents. I wanted to go on a cruise in September, so I opted to have my surgery in August so that I would be off for my cruise. So I waited 3 months after approval.

I was approved 11/2, I could have had Surg 11/7 due to 1 opening left day but needed to give work a little more notice so I didn't have it until 11/17.
