NSVs and a SV!
So Thursday had my follow-up with my doc and am now off the BP and cholesterol meds!!!!!!! I am so thankful to be able to drop 3 pills from my daily routine. My allergy meds will remain for now but also hoping to be able to get off those. Also dropped one of my anti-depressants and upped the other one that was helping me quit smoking. She said that losing all this weight seems to be helping my depression a lot. Ya think'?? lol. My BP was actually a little too low and she figures that would explain the headaches and dizziness I have been dealing with for a week or so.
I also grew an inch and a quarter apparently and I wonder if that had something to do with that hump that was on my shoulders that is now gone. So in my heels I'm 5'11"! That's just crazy! i alsways wanted to be 6 feet tall when I was a kid lol.
So in celebration I signed up for a 2 year membership to Anytime Fitness here in town and now have a personal trainer to help me get ready for the Ms Fitness competition in August. Only thing is I am going to have to do some serious educating on the whole bariatric surgery weight loss thing there. The expect me to lose a pound or 2 a week.... buahahahahah I lose that much in a day if i eat 2oz of protein at every meal. It was fun to show the girl i talked with my before surgery pic. She said I was a completely different person :D If I hadn't shown up there with the blond hair she never would have guessed it was really me. LOL compliments like that seriously make a girls day.
I am on regular food now with absolutely no problems unless I eat too fast. Then I just burp like crazy for about 5 minutes. I still am not much into sweets but have a cereal bar on me at all times in case i am out at a meal time and need to get through till I can get some meat. I think I finally have the honey convinced to make meals heavy on the protein and easy on the carbs. He was making meals like biscuits and pork gravy and garden bean soup (no meat at all in that one) and I was having to get a bunch of deli meats that I could eat first (and I wont eat the biscuits).
And my SV for today is that i am officially the weight I was when I moved to Wisconsin 4 years ago. I'm a week late on hitting it on my 4 year anniversary but what the hell I'll take it! lol

Shagdoll, it was a huge relief when my doc said to get off of them. For one thing my cholesterol meds were huge horse pills lol. But it's nice to know that my body is responding the way I had hoped and that I am finally back down to a normal blood pressure and my cholesterol (the bad stuff) is now down to 74. i like that number a LOT lol.
I actually think my docs nurse can't read a measuring stick because I have never in my life been over 5'4" anywhere else but I'll take it! lol.

Thanks Kathy! I have so much to be grateful for now that I can't imagine getting depressed over too much these days. I know that I will reach the rest of my goals in time and I just keep focused on that. I think eating right, exercising as much as I can and keeping in mind how much easier it is to deal with things in a smaller body is really helping a lot with my attitude.
The next big hurdle is to tell my bosses that i need to drop a couple days a week at work. That one is for my mental and emotional health. :) This is my year to get all the parts of me healthy and in balance :D

Love your positive attitude! Isn't it great to feel the weight literally falling away both physically and emotionally?!
Congrats on the training! I did the same for myself on my b'day - gave myself a PT for an entire year. Met with him yesterday and he kicked my ass again! LOL! It's really great because I wouldn't push as hard without him standing there (I also wouldn't do some of the things he's having me do because they are so damn hard!!!! ).
Keep up the great work and great thinking!
