Good news from my doc!
If you know me, this has to be a shock because I hate doctors.
I was having my normal morning pity party about my deflated and wrinkly body, so I sat down and wrote my PCP this email about wanting a referral to see a plastic surgeon because I just can't possibly live with these rashes anymore.
This afternoon, I got a response that the referral has been submitted. I have no idea how long it will take to get the appointment, but I'm just happy to get my foot in the door. I just want to be able to start the process of consultations so I'm prepared as I get closer to my goal. I don't want to do it until late this year or early next year - and I'm pretty sure I'm starting with my arms and boobs (that I'll have to pay for). Ive been told that part of my stomach will covered by Kaiser, and I'm just going to hope that maybe they'll cover more, but if not, I'm okay with that.

That's great. Once you start the wheels in motion with Kaiser things usually go pretty smoothly (well, at least that's been my experience). I think you'd be surprised what Kaiser will cover when it comes right down to it. Again, my experience. Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Glad you got some excellent news today!
