Oh my dear Protein Coffee why had I forsaken you?

I completely had FORGOTTEN about it!!  It WAS a stable in my initial life as a post op.  It was there for me then I discovered click WHICH is good but I didn't want to keep having the carbs.  Anyway thanks to Brandilynn my and my protein coffee have renewed our relationship!!!

My normal morning coffee is 1 cup coffee; 2 tbls half and half; 1 pump of SF Torani syrup of choice.

If I'm just having 1 cup of coffee then I took 1/2 serving of my vanilla protein and mixed it with my 2 tbsp of half and half and mixed it together ensuring that it was clump free (if you don't like the added fat use water).  I made my cup of coffee then slowly about 1/4 cup at a time SLOWLY added it to the protein mixing well (no clumps) you want to slowly add the coffee to the protein to get the protein to "accept" the heat of the coffee without clumping.  I did this until my cup of coffee was BEAUTIFULLY mixed into coffee.

So I got my coffee with my cream AND some protein.  I'm actually about to go for my 2nd cup.  Turn on my over so I can make my mock recipes...

Have an AWESOME day...

No I didn't...but I just sent an email to the company to see where in my area I can get the combo milk =)  I love the fat in my half and half so it won't be replacing that BUT all I use in my morning shake is either almond or coconut milk.

I'm headed to the kitchen (for real this time) to get started on my mocks and my coffee!!

I have yet to try protein coffee, but I drink coffee almost every day now, so this sounds like a great thing!  Plus, I would like to move away from shakes and do more protein from food... this would be a good partial transition for me.  Thanks Ms Shell & Brandilynn!!!!

The key is to make sure the liquid is below 130 degrees before you add the protein.

So far I have NO clue what my coffee temperature is.  Yesterday I made it using the coffee straight from my Starbucks barista (so I'm SURE it was over 130 degrees) and today I was mixing the protein while my coffee pot perculated, so again not sure.

ETA:  The key for me was making sure I didn't have any clumps in my protein mixture before slowly adding the coffee.

I lurve my protein coffee and have it twice a day. Almond milk + chocolate protein powder + a squirt or two of sf flavoured syrup - stirred to a slurry and then hot coffee added = mocha yumminess!

I tried this twice and it was 'ok' but I found the temp was not really hot enough for my liking and I"m also one of those people that don't like flavours in my coffee... don't mess with my strong coffee flavour I say.. so when I added the choc powder it was a bit too much extra flav.. however if it weren't for the luke warmness of it I think I could tolerate it better.
