8 month progress and thoughts...

Your comments were really touching... and moving to me. I have my flaws, and make lots of mistakes. Lots of days I think he's taught me more than I've taught him.. about the life stuff that truly matters.
Since I had surgery, he's lost about 15 lbs too. It's one of my biggest regrets, the way I chose to fuel his body... was almost abusive.
Now, he's 14 years old, 5'7 and 158 lbs... not skinny, just healthy chunk :)

That is so sweet! it is hard having to depend on others to do the simplist things for us, I am going thru the same thing, my daughter ties my shoes puts my socks on picks up stuff I drop so I dont have to bend over etc..etc, my back and feet hurt all the time, I can not wait to be sleeved and progress as well as you keep up the great work, I am so happy for you.

It's so life-changing Sleeva.. and empowering to once again be able to do the simplest things for yourself.. things most people don't realize we struggle with. Things most people take for granted.

I can't wait until you begin your journey as well. Every single day gets a little bit easier, the road a little less bumpy.. the way life was intended to be.

Aw, your whole post brought tears to my eyes... what a sweet and thoughtful son you have, he sounds just like my son, and we are both blessed to have such caring and compassionate young men in our lives... you look amazing and I hope when the time is right (and you will know it) you will have the courage to begin dating again... may love find you again!

What a great start you're off to as well! That's a tremendous weight loss in such a small period of time!
I think.. that's why God gave us.. such caring souls.. to begin to realize our worth, and that we deserve that kind of love. I know because of my son, I won't settle.. and being alone is totally okay as well, because I have him.
I was teasing him about dating.. because he used to say he'd do everything in his power to cause any guy that wanted to date me.. to flee.. lol
I'm starting to get interested/curious as far as dating goes.. but it'll be a long time before I'm ready to seriously date anyone.
