Not sure how far out you are, but it gets better. Also, get ultra lean cuts of beef (although I wasn't allowed beef until 6 months out). I still have to get very lean cuts and have it medium. Or I do jerky and spice it very well.

I am also a meat eater, I love me a good bbq steak. I got the same experience with shrimp. I LOVE shrimp but as I chewed and chewed it didnt taste that great so I havent really had it since. When I go to get meat, I  get the ribeye, or tbone and get the leanest cuts. Then I cut them in really small bites. The leaner, the juicier, the better it melts in your mouth. I hope this might help some.

Ribeye is the fattest kind of steak like prime rib.  They are marbled with fat for tenderness and yum mines.

1 month out i got released for chicken and turkey and had already been allowed sea food. I am not allowed red meat or pork at all I am guessing it's a digestion issue and a fat content issue.

I've had turkey, chicken, crab, lobster, shrimp, tuna, beef jerky (oops), turkey jerky and am not much of a chewer... not even with the jerkeys. I've never had a problem with my sleeve digesting the food or feeling ill.

Will we forever have to chew chew chew?? I understand we won't be inhaling our food for the rest of our life, but will we always need to make it an applesauce consistency? I like Steak Tar Tar but don't want it forever!

I chew much more than I did, but no, at 5 weeks out I'm not making it into applesauce. For me it's more about conscientiously eating, mitigating my inability to consume large quantities of food.
