because i would make a program like myfitnesspal but specifically desgned for people who have had bariatric surgery so that they wouldn't get those annoying messages telling you you are eating too little calories and going to go into malnutrition if you keep it up. Um hello, I don't have a tummy big enough for 1200 calories unless I live on flipping junk food and i am simply not willing to mess up my tool that way. But I HATE being guilted or manipulated in to feeling horrible about sticking to my nutritionists plan. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........

okay rant over... we will now commence your regularly scheduled program

Ruggie, I made my 1 serving of chocolate malt o meal this morning and ate 1 quarter of it. Then I remembered when I was pre-op and trying to just eat the minimum serving for breakfast and how I was like "there's no way I am going to make it to lunch on tha***** bitty sip of cereal" lol  Now i look at the recommended calories for someone my height, weight and fitness level and think "omg i'll die if i try to eat all that" lol. Somedays ya just can't win for losin lol

Wooot! Hopefully by my birthday I will be rocking those jeans again. And i am hopin and prayin this stall only lasts a few days.. don't want the honey getting too far away from me in the weight loss race lol.

You can go on the website version of myfitnesspal and reset your calorie, protein and carb requirements and then it will stop sending you "dirty" messages. This will sync with your phone app and you will be all set!

I forgot how I did it (sorry) but you can adjust your daily calorie goal in MFP.  You can also adjust your daily goals for fat, carbs, protein, etc.  Play around with it some.

I have mine currently set to 700 calories, 40 carbs, 80 protein.

I dont have a smartphone or anything fancy like that (Well I do have a used Blackberry somebody gave me but I love my samsung exclaim too much to give into the blackberry. it has a slide out qwerty keyboard and since I am a huge texter its perfect for me.) so everything I do is on my netbook. So that being said, I did mess around with the goals but I still got a message at the bottom of the screen that I was way under what I need to survive as a human being. It is just annoying to me that with the obesity epidemic the way it is websites like MFP (and the other 6 I signed up and tried to adjust my goals on) aren't set up or have some sort of option for people who have had bariatric surgery of some type. Oh well, I am journaling everything and have another visit with the NUT, PCP, and surgeon in a month and will show them and make sure I am on goal with them. i figure as long as I am not hooked up to IVs for my food and hydration I am doing ok.

Oh and another thing.. it would be awesome if you could input your vitamins too. I found where I can put in my protein as a food but so far haven't found anywhere for the vitamins I am taking.
