I posted the details on the Exercise board so I dont bore every one, but I wanted to post for all of my friends who have been supporting me through my crazy fitness obsessions.

I achieved a great victory yesterday when I finished 67 miles on my bike. The magnitude of what I did has barely started to set in (and may not until I get some muscle relaxers to stop the major muscles cramps)

This was precisely why I had surgery - I wanted to do these things, and being able to do this 8 months out of surgery was just amazing to me. I know I have a lot of events and challenges to look forward to and I'm so grateful for my health and ability to do these things.

You go girl! Hope I am posting about stuff like this soon too! And I'll happily take muscle cramps from a hard work out over not being able to breathe to climb my own stairs ANY day :D You rock that sleeve girl!

Way to go, that's awesome, you need a jacuzzi, how did you manage with water and did you stop to eat or how did that all work out?  A half a lifetime ago, I did numerous multi day tours on my bike, I really look forward to being able to do that again...

Well honestly, i was sick for most of it because I could not drink on my bike. I tried a couple times, but the wind threatened to knock me over so I gave up trying. I had to eat/drink at the aid stations which did not work out well for me ( I ate some M&Ms and tried to drink - I avoided the cliff bars bc i thought the M&Ms would take up less room, but i was still uncomfortable). The third aid station I just drank the iced coffee with sugar in it and a few M&Ms and that worked better but from now on, im sticking to gels with maybe one snack.

There were 4 aid stations, so i stopped at each of them for 5-10 min each. I really wished I had a normal stomach (especially to eat the sandwich!) but it all works out. Don't need that much food to keep going, but sure would have been nice.
