stupid quest...
I did try putting in the microwave for 10 seconds, it made the consistancy nice - at first. If you don't eat it fast enough, it makes it hard.
My biggest issue with it was the 'after taste' or while it was in your mouth. First bite was kinda like 'ok, this isn't too bad', but after chewing it for a bit 'n getting that taste in your mouth. Once it's there - doesn't go away. I never really got into protein bars, but found these in a search for easy things for me post-op for breakfast (I'm not a breakfast person and wanted something quick 'n easy for work mornings).
But, like I mentioned, it was the first one I tried... hoping to find one that I can stomach. Plus, I've heard that your taste sometimes changes postop.... so we'll see.

Too close to candy bars, at least for me. I do have some on hand, but it is ONLY for situations where the alternative choice would be worse. Usually this occurs when something out of the ordinary occurs in the schedule and I am not properly planned for the change. So, they are my plan B.

but the quest bars have only 4-6 grams of carbs per bar, the rest is fiber, no sugar alcohols and was reading on the diabetes board that they don't spike sugar. So it was probably something else that caused your craving. As for taste, there are better tasting bars on the market for sure but these are the best stats I've seen by a long shot.
