I had been home about a week. But Dr. said follow the if it hurts don't do it rule. I didn't have any pain coming home. so I guess it varies from person to person and Dr. to Dr.

My dr informed us to not soil the hospital bed if we did the insurance company would not pay for it, and we would have to take it home...LOL I love my doctor.
