Never known myself..skinny..

Very thought provoking question. Good luck on your upcoming surgery! I go in on Monday, myself and I am both excited and nervous, but mostly thrilled :)
I can't tell you what it's like to be skinny because I've always been a sassy fat girl, too, with lots of body-positive attitude in my 20's. I know I'm not unattractive and in a way I always figured that my looks and personality made up for my stubborn fat. Well now that I'm in my 30's, my achey ankles and knees are hurting and well, this shyt is just not cute and sexy anymore! lol
As others have pointed out, it would help tremendously to find a psychologist or counselor to talk to and address your body image, because I firmly believe that we got to our high weight because of something skin-deep. My psych has helped me pin-point those things out and is so supportive of my surgery, but she is also there to kindly remind me to love me no matter what. NO MATTER WHAT!
Best of luck to you :)

I ask myself similar questions all the time. "How will it feel to be skinny?", "will I be HAPPY once I'm skinny or will I still find things to hate about my appearance?" and honestly even going into a surgery shortly, I feel like it's a distant dream that I could never actually obtain. I'm more of a realist than a positive thinker though. I have to say, reading all the stories on here makes me believe that it might actually happen. Good luck to you on your journey and I hope you find happiness in your new body.
