Hi - by the time you get this you'll be done being checked out and hopefully all will be fine - but it is good you are following up on it. I had calf pain my first week to 10 days, but it wasn't like a specific sore spot; it was more like your legs would feel after you just finished a charlie horse cramp. I had some trouble with low magnesium (or was it phosphorus?) in the hospital, and so I had to watch my electrolytes. After I was about 10 days out and drinking more gatorade, and started some V-8 juice, it all was fine.

Always best to check it out like you've done, since you don't want to dilly dally if it is something serious like a blood clot. But, hopefully it is something simpler like electrolytes, fluids, or something else your body is needing.

Best,
Mel

Try potassium that should help! Good luck

Not to scare you, however I am a critical care nurse, and when you have a (dvt) blood clot in the leg or anywhere in the body you can develop a fever.. I hope I'm wrong, but it really needs to be checked out. Good Luck

im okay, strained a calf muscle probably when doing the stairs at home and my hemoglobin is way low so have to pick up some chewable iron in the am. other than that all is well no blood clot thankfully.

And thank you everyone for your concern. That means a lot to me. I know I probably over-reacted but I would rather be safe than sorry (or dead). So I hope y'all can bear with me when I ask questions like this one lol. I just want to be around to enjoy getting my life back.

Try some vitamin water or gatorade something with electrolyte in it, about one week out I would stand up off the toilet and my calves muscles felt like I did a, million calf presses and I thought they would seize up. After a week on vitamin water it went away and my electrolyte levels in my blood work were good
