Blown Away

Okay I read that in the beginning of the honeymoon phase a person will lose a lot of weight fast. For some reason in my mind a pound or two a week was "fast" but this morning on a whim I stepped on the scale and have dropped another 4 pounds since 3 pm yesterday. That just blows my mind. All these years of busting my ass to lose only a pound or two here and there and maybe 5 pounds a month if I worked extra hard at it. Now the pounds are melting away and it just blows my mind. Please don't ask me why, after reading everyone else's posts about rapid weight loss, it just didn't occur to me that I would lose fast too. I really thought I was going to have to vigorously work-out and hope that I got decent results. You know... the amazing 5 pound a month loss. lol.

I am definitely not complaining though because although I am not sleeping well and I'm in pain again I am so very very happy that I had this done. It's amazing!

I don't think I ever lost 4# in a day.  You SHOULD be blown away!!!  Way to go and I hope you feel better soon.

You must permanently change your lifestyle if you want your weight loss to be permanent. You can do it!

It sure is crazy, huh?  Simply amazing!

Just be sure to stay hydrated.  Lots of the initial weight loss is water.  And be ready for a stall in the next few weeks... the rapid loss usually leads to one. (don't mean to be a downer... I'm a realist)

Sounds like you're doing great!

Silly, I just wasnt expecting to lose very much at first. And I will definitely remember about the stalls. I don't want to freak out when it stops lol.

I get blown away everyday.  I'm 6 months out and gave away most of my clothes already but kept things like night gowns..after all who else is going to see me in them right?  Anyways, I stood up to go into the kitchen and the straps fell off at the same time and i fond the gown on the floor.   LOL  I just stood there naked ....Laughing.     I love the changes but I think I need new clothes now!

That is fantastic results. I was averaging 1lb a day, and thought that was pretty freakin awesome. I too lost only 5lbs a month average before. I am currently stuck in a stall once I started the protein shakes and creamed soup. Ug, you'd think with the amount of liquid coming out both ends, I would drop at least 2lbs, but no such luck. My body was used to walking before surgery and walking now, isn't doing a thing for me, but I can't start more vigorous workouts just yet. So patience is my moto for now. You seem to be one of the lucky one's after all. Keep it up.
