There's no way I could do this
liquid diet for 2 weeks with my normal stomach. One day and I'm so hungry I could eat a whole side of beef by myself I think. yes I am whining lol but its all good I know tomorrow will be worth a few hunger pains and headaches. especially since I will be getting really good pain meds tomorrow and wont be worried too much about a headache. But I have to tell you, the honey made chicken livers and giblets and even though I can't stand them personally, my mouth was watering so much i needed a napkin. But i drank my chicken broth like a good girl and Ill have to go get some more here so my tummy is full lol.
I didn't think I would make it through the two weeks, but I did with no problems. I did miss chewing, but at the same time there was a reason for doing this. I thought to myself, I will not screw this up because I have a date for surgery and need to do this in order to live longer.
I'm only 10 days post op now so I've just begun my journey. It's only temporary and then you can eat within reason those foods you've loved before just in a smaller quantity.
You can do it!

Hey, I started bingeing on food by the age of 8. There is no way the 2 week pre-op liquid diet was easy for me, but I did it with full compliance. The first 3 days were the worst days ever! The second week was much easier.
There is no reason to believe that you can't do it. You think it sucks for one reason only.... IT SUCKS! But I am so happy that I had a lower surgical weight. I lost 24 pounds- yeah half was water and lost in the first 3 days, but who cares?!
