Happy Asian New Year!

The Lunar Year starts over today...It's the Year of the Dragon! Just wanted to wish everyone a year of success, wealth, happiness, love and prosperity!  

 Three days of celebrating...talk about everything being RICE AND NOODLES! 

I'll just stick to the red envelope stuffed with money ^_^ 

 

Wow that's very cool.  I work with a diverse group of people and it's so interesting when they share their culture.  Many are from India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, still others from China and Korea.  Thanks for sharing and your well wishes.

 TFS!  Is it weird that the fact that this is the Year of the Dragon makes me feel a little better about the Mayan end of calendar thing?   Maybe we will have a year of big positive changes.

We live in an Asian area and I know that our local Vietnamese restaurant will be handing out gifts to customers.  My DH eats there every week...sometimes twice.

 haha! i'm suffering right now with all the Vietnamese food. Sweet rice, massive bowls of noodles, roasted pork, duck, and miles of vietnamese deserts and candy. =/

I'm hoping the year brings goodluck to everyone! I'm a tiger and the yearly forecast shows great readings! WOOHOO! =D

*Still in pain from the loss to NY yesterday.....

 =) omg, i'm at work right now....and people are showering me with gift baskets of all the 'bad' vietnamese food! It's staring at me =/ haha

you have no idea...i was rooting for the niners! =( too close of a game!

I went to the Build-A-Bear Workshop and purchased a stuffed dragon that had the Lunar Calendar attached.  I dressed him in a shirt with another dragon on it and will call him Longwei (dragon greatness) in celebration of a new year and a new me.  Wow that photo is amazing.  I want to come to your party!

that is soo awesome! i may have to go check that out too! lol..the party ends wednesday..come on down. =)

trust me...its tough..my aunts are pulling out the best of the best traditional vietnamese goodness. It's all rice, flour, noodles, fatty meats. Thank goodness they loved me and had some fresh exotic fruits and what not. I just ate hot pot stew.

Today, people are bringing in the candies, treats, cookies...its worst than thanksgiving! haha
