Babycakes cake pop maker for meatballs?

So after seeing Frisco's post about the Ready-set-go cooker I started doing some research and was looking at the Babycakes mini cupcake maker to make egg bites or meat loaf bites. I came across this cake pop maker and thought about meatballs. I really dont cook much but have been thinking alot about "shortcuts" on home cooked foods. I really need to lower my sodium intake and the best way to do that is to cook my own food and limit the salt.

The Babycakes products are not very expensive (abt $25 each) so I may buy both. So what are your thoughts? Do you think this will work for homemade meatballs??

If you're going to have to roll them up anyway, it would be just as easy to stick them on a pan and put them in the oven...

right? Or am I missing something?

Here's a base recipe we use... http://www.food.com/recipe/low-carb-breakfast-balls-98774

Hi Debbie,
I think a cheaper alternative would be just to bake your own using a small-medium sized cookie scoop (like the ones from Pampered Chef) on a cookie sheet that has sides or in a cake pan. That's what I do. Then I freeze them and pull out as many as I think I'll need at a time.

The bake in about 15-20 minutes at 350* depending on the size of the scoop you use.

BTW...I love Pampered Chef products. They have some great small measured glass cups w/covers I use all the time for portions, etc. They also have some really cool peelers, graters that help make our small portions look pretty like Frisco's stuff! And yes...I am becoming a consultant, but I'm not one yet! Let me know if you need anything!

I don't cook, but we LOVE PC in this house. I do make the egg bites sometimes and their mini muffin pans work SO great for that. Yummy... I should make some more soon. Hmmm...

Gah, I just smashed my favorite baking stone into a million pieces, I guess its time I found someone who sells PC to get a new one. I LOVE their measuring cups, and the garlic press that I have is fantastic!

My husband has a love affair with that pizza stone. It's borderline creepy. *laughing*

I adore their adjustable measuring spoons. Dorky perhaps, but it saves me space. Their deep baker thing is AWESOME, hubby made a chicken tikka kebob in there. OMG.

I know what you mean about the pizza stone, I literally cried when I dropped it. We have marble floors over a concrete slab, so I KNEW when that thing hit the floor it was not going to survive. I am still finding pieces of it all over the place. I miss it.
