Diabetics

My wife was a 20ish year diabetic who was just short of needing insulin for control when she had her DS and it took between 6 months and a year for her to be off all of her diabetes meds. The surgeon told her that in his experience, the longer one has had (or been diagnosed/treated) for diabetes, the longer it usually takes to resolve after surgery. From what I have seen, it looks like the VSG is following that same pattern, though there will always be some odd cases where long time diabetics will resolve quickly and vice versa.
