Hello, I'm having vsg on January 23, 2012, If you don't mind me asking you, how was your experience after surgery and when you went home was it hard or very painful wanted to know because i'm nerves? Thanks

Hmm, I have not heard of that before..I will be interested in what others know about this. Did they give any reasoning behind why not? Is she a type 1 or 2 diabetic?

 I was type 2 diabetic as well, and now they say that my diabetes has gone into remission.  Also I the other people were there with me in the hospital, were type 2 as well.  I don't know for sure though about Type 1 diabetics.

Absolutely not true. I had type II and my blood sugar was in normal range the day after my surgery.

Maybe specifically type I?? But totally not type II. That's one of the comorbidities that can qualify us for the surgery in the first place.
