Sometimes those aren't accurate. My doctor's profile shows he has done ONE and he has actually done over 400.

Bless your heart! I am so very sorry that you are having to go through this! I will be keeping you in my prayers.
Did the doc. say why you are having internal bleeding? I am wondering if anything happened during surgery?

Thanks for your update and information!

Hang in there! Sending hugs your way!!

Holy moly. Your post brings me to tears. I am praying for you. I am so sorry you are going through this, you're gonna pull through and this will soon be a mere (bad) memory. Hang in there and please be demanding and insistent that you get proper care! (Switch pain meds, add anti-nausea medication, picc line) from the sounds of your urine etc. I am surprised they sent you home...

Band (09/07) removed, revised to sleeve 2/9/12.

OMG!  You hang in there.  I think that you should be back in the hospital until you stabilize.  Please make sure they at least get the PIC set up. Others are right... you need to find out what is causing/caused the bleeding.
I am so sorry this happened to you. Will keep you in my thoughts/prayers.  This will pass- try to stay positive

Thanks to all the wonderful supportive responses and prayers. I really appreciate them. My doctor had me go to the hospital this afternoon - got some labwork done and the PIC line installed. T
PN will be delivered by home care tomorrow and he assured me I will feel noticably better quickly. I failed to note earlier that due to the nausea and vomiting I refused all pain meds after the first day in the hospital. The nurses thought I was a little nuts but understood I did not want to continue vomiting. As for the bruising and internal bleeding ... the tests showed it came from one of the trocars nicking the spleen and also from a small area of my stomach around the stapling. So I am hopeful - but exhausted. Thanks to all of you so very much for being there.
