How long did you stay in the hospital after revision from LB or just sleeved?
VSG on 01/17/12
5 long days LOL
Don't know what the norm is with my doc but I was doing well, was off pain meds on day three, taking my own showers and up and walking constantly.. couldn't stand to be in that bed. I complained of a soreness on my leg and was sent for a doppler on it but came back clear, but still had to stay one more night.
I think my breathing issues the first couple nights while sleeping kept me a bit long.. I wasn't wearing my c pap for the first two nights.
I think the average is three for most.

I just had a sleeve done. But my surgery time was 3pm, so I stayed two nights. My surgeon was concerned because at that time I walked with a cane, and after surgery used a walker so he wanted to make sure I was steady on my feet ---
BTW -- after surgery and learning how to exercise even with severe arthritis, I am now cane-less !!!!

I was only in for one night (and basically 24 hours from surgery to discharge). I had my surgery at 2:30 in the afternoon and was up and walking to the bathroom as soon as I got into a regular room around 6 pm. I will say that I think this is a bit unusual, but I am young (27) and otherwise healthy apart from being obese (no diabetes/sleep apnea/etc). They would have kept me another night if I felt I needed it, but I truly did not think I did (especially since I got so little sleep while there).
