Three Week & Other Stall Folks... you can do this!

I definitely don't have all the answers, I have my own struggles - as do we all, but I see a lot of posts about stalls. To this day, when my loss stops or stalls out, I STILL convince myself that I won't lose any more. Even now. 111 pounds down. It's a total mind game.

So, I could sit here and tell you that it's going to be okay, yadda yadda, but when I was stuck in week 4 and posted my freak out post (I think we all do LOL) someone showed me their numbers. That helped WAY more than people talking me off the ledge. You can actually see mine at any time by clicking on my username under my photo and scrolling all the way to under my blog "My Story In Numbers"... but I'm going to copy and paste the mere.

You can do this. Get through it. Don't make any crazy changes, just stay the course.

My story in numbers.... I've had several "zero loss" weeks and it still comes off. I promise. As you can see, I'm a bit of a stair step loser. It's all good :)

Wow! Thanks for this information. It is very helpful to those of us behind you. I am in my week 3 slump. But I keep doing the program and I know, because of folks like you that it will come off.

You're giving me hope because I'm only a few weeks out and the scale has been going up and down within a 4 pound range for 10 days and I want to cry. I was just thinking about whether one of my new meds is messing with me or if I am doing something wrong (only eating once a day... i hate eating now and feel like there isn't enough time between the shakes and the fluids) or if I am just destined to be this size forever. Should I move more? Sleep more (my sleep pattern is off like crazy)? I just don't know.... I'm discouraged.  Seeing your starting weight and your numbers broken down like that is encouraging. Thank you for posting this :) You've lost a lot in a short amount of time.

Ha! And I feel like it's been SLOW. See, it's a mind game :)

Keep doing what you're doing.

Talk about maddening? I hit 299 - under 300. HUGE goal for me. Then it went up to 302. Then 298, then 301, then 302, then 298, then 300, then... OMG I thought I was going to seriously LOSE MY MIND.

Hang in there. It will come off.

I'm glad to hear that's normal! I am doing that right now! I was 350, then 348, then 346 then 350 again and everywhere in between in these 10 days. I feel like my scale was teasing me when it was down those 4 pounds and now I have to lose them again! Ahhh! When people talk about throwing out the scale, I think they're right!!!

Yup. Some people only weigh weekly. I do it every day as a reminder to myself, BUT the up/down trend doesn't bother me as much. Hang in there.

I remember someone here posting once that he was going to take the scale out to the driveway. Drive over the thing so it could learn what "heavy" really was. Ha!

Ditto, my numbers are in my signature. You've done Great! Keep it up!

I did get to a point where the 'hormonal' thing kicked in at about 9 months post-op. I now go 2 weeks up/down within a pound and then lose  for 2 weeks.  I'm at a normal BMI, below my surgeon's goal, and headed for my personal goal. The last 10-15lbs are putting up a fight as expected, lol.
