Hey Sean,
You'll find there are a lot of guys on the forum. I'm still pretty early out - only about 3 1/2 weeks post op. I'm loving sleeved life. The sleeve is making it really easy for me to be compliant with sleeve rules. For example, last night I went out with friends for dinner. We all had a great time. I was able to order off the menu (even on my soft food stage) and didn't feel awkward at all. I ordered grilled halibut. I ate about 2 oz of halibut and was fine. It took me just as long to eat my 2 oz as it took everyone to finish their dinners - actually I was the last one done! I brought my left overs home, weighed them to figure out what I had eaten, packed it up and now I will have another 2 meals of fish, too!
Please feel free to send me a personal message if I can help you out in any way.

Hiya
I am recently sleeved also 12/27/11. It has been the best decision I have made in a very long time. I will advice you that you truly need to be mentally prepared to let go of your favorite foods. For example I love chicken wings. I am missing them a lot but I am not upset about not eating them. This surgery I believe has given me an additional 20 years on life.

Hey dude, I'm almost 3 months out. There are quite a few guys here including some long time vets. Search out posts from Frisco and Jimbo for example. Welcome.

Beyond Goal
Hi Sean,
Well I am 3 weeks out and I have lost over 30lbs so far. I was on a liquid diet for two weeks and did not have any problems. I am now on two weeks of soft foods and only had one problem thus far. I think I ate too fast and I had to force some of it back up (sorry TMI). My only problem with eating is that I still eat too fast. This is definitely a learning process. I can tell you that getting the sleeve was the best thing I have done for myself. If you have any questions, just ask. As you can see, you can ask anything on here. Good luck,
Mike.
