I've never been to New Orleans, but it's on my list. That turducken looks pretty darn good. You look great as well :)  I bet it feels great to still be around food and not desire it.

Thanks! its quite awesome! My taste buds has change quite a bit post-op. Its a good thing. If you ever go to NO....best time is Mardi Gras. I've been to almost every holiday/event possible and hands down that weekend leading up to Fat Tuesday is insane!

My husband and I travel a lot. We were scheduled to ride our Harleys from CT to NO the week before Katrina. When the forcast became extremely questionable, we booked flights. Then the day before the storm the flights were canceled.
So, I've been all over the country and even some places outside the country, but to my regret I have yet to see NO.

It is on my bucket list. To be honest, it's not the party I'm looking forward to, but I'm not taking that out of the equation. It's the history of the city. There is so much history there, in the buildings. I'm such a nerd. (sigh)
But, it's what I've always wanted to take a few days and explore.

Soon, I think.
and the turkey-chicken thing...well, we'll see. If I can fit it in after the other cajun stuff and the ****tails during Mardi Gras. LOL
cheers

i understand...besides the party scene, New Orleans does indeed have lots of history. I'm a nerd myself...I've traveled to many of the haunted places, voodoo shops, markets, museums, plantations...Its one of a kind.
