Do you find carbs stall you?

I eat carbs, I do not however, eat them as a regular part of my day. Usually a couple ounces of either a fruit or veggie a day and then on occasion (not daily) I might have a small amount of say pretzels or a treat.
So there are carbs in many of my proteins, milk, yogurt, etc. That usually in itself brings me to my top level of carbs. And then if I add in the fruit or treat carb that day - I go over.
Also another factor I would think would be how close someone is to their goal, and are their calories without carbs right at the brink? Like say when I get to my first goal of 165, and I'm eating my 800-1000 calories a day, I may have to re-think what I'm eating and reduce my calories at that point if I find I'm stalling and want to keep losing, or if I'm gaining.
So a lot of factors in the carb thing.
I have been doing quiet well with just sticking to protein mostly and only getting in incidental carbs in things like sugar-free Greek yogurt and protein shakes. I usually stay under 30 grams/day. But, I am on Christmas break from school and decided to loosen up on the carbs and just enjoy the holidays. Well, I guess for me, that means a break from losing weight too. He He.
So, I guess my dream of being able to have my carbs and loss weight too, is out the window. He He. Oh well, we all have to come back from vacation some time. He He
Thanks for your reply!
If I kept this up, I am sure I could gain some back too. I was just hoping that somehow they were not the enemy and they could be part of my life. I think not. I think I need to avoid them until I am at goal and then maybe see if they can come back in or not.
It will be tricky when I get to maintenance. I guess I will cross that bridge when I get there. Until then, they have to go. I started back today. I was going to wait until next week but I can pretty clearly see that they are not going to work out, so I am back on track and they are gone until I can look in the mirror and say " I am too skinny, I really should not lose anymore weight" He He. I don't know if they day will ever really come, but I never thought this day would come either, so I am hopeful. He He.
Thanks for the warning! Low-carb it is!
Carbs really slow down my loss and even cause me to stall. It doesn't matter if they are "good" carbs or bad carbs. I also am more hungry if I overdo on the carbs. I also feel better when I keep the carbs (especially grains and refined sugar) to a mimimum or avoid them all together.
In the first couple of months after my surgery, if I went over my carb allowance, it didn't make much difference. However, the more weight I lose the more that carbs make a difference. I have been on a 4 week stall and it's all because I have slacked off and allowed too many carbs.
FYI--if you have a Kroger store near you, they have a CarbMaster yogurt that is similar to Greek yogurt but has much less carbs and more protein. I have found that Greek yogurt is too high in carbs for me.
...though she be but little, she is FIERCE...

That's interesting about becoming more sensitive to the carbs. I hope I can have some when I get to maintenance phase at least. He He. If not, being thin is worth it anyway.
