A mandoline sliced oven dried Fuyu Persimmon.

Edit: I do need to mention in WL I would use Light Mayo/Greek Yogurt with Sriracha.

Frisco, is that an actual "cooker?" I think I see a cord there that you plug in? Like a PP mentioned, I, too, was thinking about getting a cake pop pan but wonder if your neat new little tool would work better?

Wonder if I could find one on the web....

Yes, it is electric.....

I never heard of using the CakePop Cooker......I think that's a great idea and cheaper...I think I saw them in a store for like twenty somthing dollars. Might wait and see if some links come up for using one with meats.

This looks like the one I got......

Those look so sexy, Frisco!  What kind of batter did you use?  I'm sure they are meant for people in maintenance, just wondering if there is a way to make them less carby.

Those look great...
I love calamari too - but I also dig Octopus (Tako) a lot as well.
My local fish monger sells the frozen pre-blanched octopus arms complete with tentacles.
They are cheap and I slice them really thin while still frozen. They are sweet with an almost crunchy texture....Awesome with some tabico (flying fish caviar) wasabi, and moist knori.

Awesome!  That totally seals the deal!  Already found one for sale for $35!  I'm so excited to finally be able to add a little variety.  Food has been snoozeville for a while lol.
