Liquid Lortab

LOL...I'm on fire with the questions today.  Had a pounding headache last night and I still had some of my liquid lortab from surgery so I took a tablespoon.  When it hit the top of my stomach I felt a burning sensation for about a minute, then it stopped...anyone else get this?  I don't remember this happening when I took it right after surgery.

I think lortab has alcohol in it that causes that.  I could be wrong, but it burns like alcohol.  It's nasty!

Lortab does give me a little burning sensation.  It also makes my face break out in hives.  So... yeah, my recovery from surgery has been really "pretty".  ;)

Hope you're feeling better!

Nutshell:

Lost 140 lbs with VSG. (Hooray!!)

got pregnant  (yeaaaa!)

I think it is because right after surgery you are still numb so you dont feel it, but now the sensation is coming back as the nerves are waking up so now you are feeling it!!

LOVE Liquid Lortab.......yes, I do get that small burning sensation! But I still have some left after my surgery on Sept. 1st! I've been saving it for just that very reason if I have some pain...like a headache or sore muscles after exercise.

I always made sure I had a SF Popsicle close by after I drank it so then I gave it the Popsicle "chaser" and didn't get that nasty taste or slight burn.

It had the same reaction with me from the first time I took it, but it works and it certainly didn't hurt the sleeve.

The lortab was awful for me. I didn't even pick it up when discharged from the hospital.
