guess what my gastro said ???

this was my first visit with him.....i explained my slip, the ulcers,the hiatel hernia (sp) the throwing up, the 100 pound loss then the unfill and the 50 lb gain...he goes, " i have seen this, so so many times before, i just wish they would get rid of the band all together..." then he starts to tell me about the sleeve, lol as i said at the same time, i am getting revised to the sleeve, he says, the sleeve is amazing. i was gonna recommend that u get if after u have your band removed...lmao... anyway, he said that a relative of his was sleeved and is very successful with it......he said that eventually it is going to be THE GOLD STANDARD OF WLS !!!!!!!!!  omg.....so to end this story, my endoscopy is next friday, at 12 lol.......

This is a wonderful thing to hear! When do you get the sleeve?

WELL, I GET MY ENDOSCOPY NEXT FRIDAY. AND ON XMAS EVE MORNIN, I AM GOIN FOR MY CHEST XRAY...THEN I NEED TO MAKE SURE I BRING ALL OF THE RESULTS TO MY SURG. ASAP....I CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT DATE !!!!!! LOL SO AS SOON AS I GET THE DR. MY PAPERWORK FROM ALL OF MY TESTS, I AM ASSUMING THEY WILL SUBMIT. BUT NOT SURE HOW BCBS DIRECT ACCESS WORKS YET, I JUST GOT THEM.

Good luck!   I just had a revision and am SO happy to have the band gone!   My surgeon said they no longer put them in at his clinic....they only take them out.
