Out of the shell.  You can use fresh or frozen.  I prefer fresh.

As for spices, I like to keep it simple.  Some salt to help enliven the natural flavors, fresh cracked black pepper for a little bite and maybe some garlic powder.  But just a little of the lastt 2.  You can use anything you really like though.

You'd have to eat about 6 oz to get 20 g of protein.  Heres what the nutrition label from nutritiondata.com looks like for my recipe with 2 cups of endamae, 1 tbsp of olive oil, 1 tsp odf salt (I use Kosher Salt), 1/2 tsp each of garlic powder and black pepper.    Throw everything in a baggie, shake it up then spread it in a shallow pan and roast at 375 for 10-15 minutes.  The serving size I used is 1 oz.

Calories 33, Calories from fat 13, Fat 2 g (0 sat, 0 trans), 0 Cholestorol, 143 mg sodium, 3 carbs (1 fiber, 1 sugar), 3g of protein, 2% calcium, 3% iron, 4% vitamin c.

I couldn't post an image of the label because its generated dynamically and not hosted on the internet.

These only take about 15 minutes to make at home.  I plan on taking some in my pocket the next time I go to the movies and use them instead of popcorn.

www.Soynuts.com  is a great place for flavored choices.  Plus it comes right from the farmer.

Ah, the downfalls of living overseas.

I can get edamame at the Japanese restaurant down the road, but I cannot for the life of me find them in the dang grocery store!!

I can ship them, but Amazon requires everything to be bought in bulk and I am not sure if I am going to like them. I would hate to buy a large amount and then waste them...

 Hi Samantha,
Maybe since you can only get them in bulk if you don't like them maybe you can do a post to sale whatever is not used that is unopened to someone in the forum here that does like them via paypal or something. Hope you find them or find a way to try them I am going to look them up myself :) Or maybe there are others in your area that has had VSG that wouldn't mind splitting the cost with you and sharing the product. I am sure there is a way where it would be less expensive for you until you find out if you like them or not :)

GOD BLESS

RAQUEL

With Gods help I am going to beat this!

Perhaps you could have a friend from stateside send you a care package? I would offer but I have to find them here myself. PM me if you are interested and if I find them I'd be glad to send you some.
