Surgery in 5 days and I have a cold!!!

I am scheduled to have my surgery on Monday. I am worried they will cancel it because I have a bit of a cold. No fever - just icky nose, sore throat, and cough. Has anyone been in this situation before? I really do not want to cancel or reschedule - I am so ready - want it done now. Ugh!!! :-(

I had a cold and cough on my surgery day. The doctor and operating room staff said that so long as there was no fever the surgery would proceed. My surgery went great.

When you cough or sneeze post-op hold a pillow against your stomach.
