Large bruise on lower abdomen, 7 days out from surgery

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else experienced this...just today there appeared a tennis ball sized bluish-looking bruise on my lower abdomen.  I am 7 days out from surgery, and the bruise is nowhere near my incisions, it's sitting on my "lower belly".  It doesn't hurt, but its just a little tender to the touch.  My mom is a nurse and she said it may be dried blood or maybe they placed an instrument there in the operating room.  I have no fever or any other issues.  Has anyone else had this?

It's not where your Lovenox shots are?

I had two huge bruises on my lower abdomen after I had surgery, according to my doctor, they are from where they insert the gasses or air??? to open up your abdominal cavity so they can work. There weren't any marks or incisions because the needle they use is so thin - maybe yours are from the same thing?

 I had a big bruise too on my lower belly. it's from the blood thinner shot they give you. 

i also had one from the blood thinner shot also... and it even burned a lil a couple days out.

ME TOO, I HEAR ITS NORMAL AFTER THE LOVENOX OR HEPARIN SHOTS

Today is number 10 for me and I still have big bruises from the Lovenox.

 Yep, blood thinner shots are guaranteed to do this.  I used to have to give them to my husband, and he looked like an art project gone wrong.

Phew...thanks guys...I was a little worried that I was bleeding internally!! I also called my surgeon's nurse and she said it could be that but not usually this far out...also because I didn't have a fever she wasn't worried.

I still have those bruises too!
