Hi there to you!

I know exactly how you feel.  I'm not even sure if my band has slipped or not, I guess my surgeon will tell me after surgery but I've been having those same symptoms.  I think life will be much happier for me without the band.  :)

My loss has been faster or just about on par with most of the people who where virgin sleevers on the same day as me, so that's not always true!

Good luck, it was the best thing that ever happend to me!

OMG! I was banded in 2005, and used this forum so much. Sadly, within a few months I had a port infection, so my port had to come out. Got re-ported, but could never get restriction. My band had eroded, so it had to come out. I was told my insurance wouldn't even look at my case again for 5 years, so I waited them out, and tried again. Happy to report that I got my sleeve on 11/30  I made a trip to the grocery store and pharmacy yesterday, and tht wore me out. Today, I feel almost human! I get staples out tomorrow, and I'm planning on going back to work Thursday. I only work p/t, so the longest I will be there is 4 hours. I have struggled to get my protein in. $80 of protein drinks that I can't stomach, is sitting on top of the fridge. My husband found some whey protein at Walmart, that is much more tolerable to me. I spoke with a nutritionist this morning, and she said that's why they recommend trying different flavors of protein before surgery. I did, but like I told her...I drank it really cold, and I chugged it. Can't do that post surgery!  Like some of the others said, getting up off the bed is the worst part.

I can definitely relate with you on the protein drinks issue, I've been sampling different ones but I've been drinking them cold too....so maybe I need to try them at room temp.  I really don't want to waste money on drinks and not be able to tolerate them.

I was banded in May of 2006 and had my revision done on 11/08/11.  I was in the hospital two nights, and was ready to go home.
No problems at thispoint. Went back to work two weeks later. - I have been getting tired out after a days work but most times have more energy than before. I sleep much better. I also had a hiatal hernia repair. No relux now, that is why I sleep so much better.
I would do it again.
Just getting to eating regular foods. Have been doing well on purees and soft/mushies.
Good Luck with you revision. Keep checking in here there are many people with good advice. Just use your good judgement.

Thanks for your response.  I had a hiatal hernia repaired when I had my lapband done. but starting to have reflux again so I guess we'll see what's going on in there when I get sleeved.
