I TOTALLY feel ya. And it's not for everyone. A lot of my friends know about it and it hasn't defined who I am thus far, so I think it's going to be okay.

For *me*, it was an irrational fear I think... but again, that's me. You have to do what is right for you!

Oh yeah, totally irrational fear for me. The people I've told are more curious than anything else. They've all been supportive so far. I just think that, for me, during this process I need to concentrate on me. I've told quite a few people. I'm just not ready to broadcast it yet.

I'm only 6 weeks out. I'm sure I'll get to a place where I feel better about telling people.

Thanks for sharing your story.

Congratulation on 100 lbs and on being honest with yourself and everyone else!  (I think you may help a lot of people - and I love that we get to "pay it forward" and help others who are in the same spot we were in!)

We are so in the same spot - I just hit the 100 lb milestone and am now working on my "next" 100 lbs.  I picked 130 as my "goal" because I'm a shorty (5'2") and that is the upper end of normal for the BMI, but also because I think it will be amazing to have lost 2/3's of myself.  I am also like you in knowing that this is the best thing I have ever done for myself and yes I would do it all over again!

Keep rockin your sleeve - you are AMAZING!

Thanks, I hadn't figured out where to get that yet. I grabbed the holiday one so I'll always remember this holiday season :) xoxo

Yes, if it helps just one person, then it was worth it, for sure.

Yeah. 175 is my "well, what does that look like" goal. Like my surgeon said, I'll have 20 pounds or so of skin so reaching a "normal" BMI without plastics will be nearly impossible, I'll be kind of underweight in some ways. But! We shall see. I think the charts say 140 or so for my height. I'm so not worried about that right this minute. I'm concentrating on my next mini-goal... which is to hit 250. I'm hoping to hit that by my birthday (March 2), but I know it will be tight with the holidays coming up.

And you are rocking it too! Look at us getting all skinny and sexy and stuff ;)

Thank you - you are doing fabulous, by the way. You should hit 100 faster than you think too! Keep workin' it!
