5.5 Months = 100 pound celebration with 100 to go!

Join me in celebrating a double milestone!

I, finally, hit 100 pounds lost today. I was shocked as I lost 1 measly pound last week and had to fight for the 1 pound I lost this week. But this morning, it was down 2 more for a total of ONE HUNDRED pounds lost.

I never ever ever ever in a hundred million years thought I'd be able to say I'd lost a hundred freaking pounds. Ever. I'm so excited that I want to scream!

I will put a photo on my profile. This is hard for me. Today is the day that my therapist and I agreed that I would tell people and stop beating myself up about authenticity. Long story. If you're interested, it's on my family blog at http://www.beauchampfamily.com

**Big Deep Breath**

So, my name is Candy. I live in Austin. I had weight loss surgery with Dr. Ganta on 6/21/2011 and it's the best decision I've made in my entire life. I'd go it again in a heartbeat.

I've lost 100 pounds. I have 100 more to go to be at the "well, what does that look like" weight. I refuse to make a goal weight below that until I get there because I cannot even fathom being at 175, much less any lower.

Thanks. It was tough. I'm well known in my industry, it's been tough deciding to tell people as I'm sure some will look down on it, but well... eh, who cares at this point. I feel good having it out there. If it helps just one person... it was worth it.

I understand wanting to keep it private. I haven't decided yet if I'm ready for the world to know. Mostly, I don't want the WLS to define me because I am MUCH more than it. But, I agree that if it helps one person, even if it helps them to decide NOT to the have surgery, it's worth sharing.

Maybe some day. I'm not ready to wear that letter yet.
