Congrats to you!  I love reading your posts.  And I really admire, that despite the regain, you're still around offering advice, support and honesty.  I would tend to want to bury my head in the sand, and ignore the problem...further worsening the situation, as I have done many, many times in the past.  I think maybe, I want to be just like you when I grow up!

You are, absolutely, a success and such an inspiration to all of us!

No matter my slight gain I caught it and still feel like the success I am.  Thank you for inspiring ME!!

You must permanently change your lifestyle if you want your weight loss to be permanent. You can do it!

Happy Surgiversary, Michelle!

Seems like just yesterday, I was reading your posts as I prepared for my own VSG (3.5 years ago!).  Hope you are doing well and all my best to you.  I've learned that our weight struggles will be for life... but at least we're at a more manageable point.  Attitude is so important, and yours is awesome!

Hugs,

Michelle :)

p.s. going to Dr. Agha in 2.5 weeks for my last surgery (long incision thigh lift)!

Take care and Happy New Year!

Thanks for sharing....that makes sense....I also don't lose weight when I get over 1000 calories...at least from past dieting experience....right now I'm hitting 1100+ cals frequently and why I'm not seeing much loss lately....and that's with quite a bit of exercise weekly....I thought that maybe things would be different after surgery and that it would be easy to stay low cal long term....but I'm seeing that it's getting a lot easier to eat high calorie days and that worries me....

I also eat convenience type foods too much like lean cuisine, crackers & cheese, etc... since I don't cook much....I am aware though, and know that I need to come up with better choices....

I have another question for you....do you ever have trouble with getting a food down at this point? Like foods being too dry, wrong texture, or whatever.....

Yeah after surgery or not it's still OUR metabolism for the most part.  It's easier for ME to eat a small portion and be for the most part satisfied, but if my cravings or head hunger jump in it's a different (or rather the same) ballgame.

NOPE and haven't since about 2 years or so out.  NOW dryer foods will fill me up quicker but I don't really get the stuck or OMG it's about to come back from certain foods.  I do however get immediately sick eating to much.

Ms. Shell,  Thank you so much for your honesty!  It is good to hear, and understand, that this is a journey for all of us and we have to keep a check on the map from time to time.  I am looking forward to joining you all on this journey soon (12/19).
