Happy Surgiversary!! 4 years
Hello my fellow VSGers...
I am 4 years out (today or the 26) but I had my surgery the Monday after Thanksgiving so I count it as TODAY!! My original goal weight was 205, then I wanted 100lbs lost from surgery then I wanted 195 and then I wanted 180. In the midst of all that changing goal weights from October to January I went OFF program and gained from 195 to 216 which I am currently battling to get back off. The problem is I just don't FEEL like being as "strict" as I need to be in order to get it off.
This year for my 4 year I'm going to open up the questions!! So ask away nothing is off limits or to personal to me!! Let's GO!!

woooo-hoooo on your 4 year surgiversary!!!!! i bet the time has flown by! i'm almost to 1 yr (in 6 wks) and even now i know that it's gotten way easier to screw around with my food. i like your "whatcha eating vsgers?" posts but sometimes i'm too embarrassed to answer. food shame like you wouldn't believe even with the weight i've lost. i get on the scale every week sure that i have gained. and i know i will eventually and that panics me.
that's just to say i know it's hard and much harder when it's not novel (after 4 years, for instance). but i have faith that you're gonna do it!!!!!!!!!! the sass alone is going to work in your favor!!!

My restriction is what I think more then most. My capacity is about 6-12oz depending on the food. I have been at this capacity for the last 2 1/2 YEARS so I doubt it's going anywhere. Processed foods ie foods from ANY fast food joint I think my capacity is greater.
My advice this isn't a DIET...it's the rest of your LIFE. So get in touch with your food demons and if you have a "BAD" relationship with certain foods stay away from them as long as you can and respect that just because you stay away for a year it might be a problem having them again. Cravings are HORRIBLE as is HEAD HUNGER.
Never lose sight of the WHY you had surgery. It helps to keep me in check.

Happy Surgiversary!
Ok...question....what has been the biggest problem for you and the reason for the weight gain?
And I see your food logs, they look like it is still little amounts of total food intake over the course of the day....... what calories are you taking in daily, that you are still having trouble losing weight??
So in other words, even a 12 oz capacity if you ate 4 x a day, would the calories be so high to inhibit loss? Is it grazing or wrong choice of calorie laden foods?
It is scary to know that it is easier to gain weight down the road, even being sleeved..... than we originially believe, when it is so hard to eat in the beginning.
