OK so I haven't had surgery yet... I have 3 apts left with my PCP for a total of 6mos.  I had the Nut apt and all I need now is the last three apts with PCP and to see the Nutritionist in Jan2012.

My question is has anyone in there journey to the doc came up with a Positive Test of BLOOD IN THEIR URINE??? Last mo it was positive and this month it was also Positive but not as much.    My doc tested me for a UTI that was NEG. So he wants me to see a Bladder Doc. What does this mean?? its not a UTI what else could it be. I know its an infection somewhere but I'm hoping its in the Bladder and It can be resolved with medication.  God help me if it has something to do with my Kidneys. I would just die!! I work at a Dialysis Center and ever since Ive worked here I think of that often which Is sad I know.

So if any of you out there have any advice please let me know!
Thanks Jennifer

You could have a small kidney stone or something. Why didn't you see a doc already if you have a positive test last month!? Id be freaking out lol.

But, if you havent had any pain or any other symptoms, its probably not something serious.

I would have to suggest you CALM DOWN !! Could be something, could be nothing, could be lots of things. But most of all, I thought of all these tests before hand as a second insurance policy ! I had a funky ekg. I had to have a nuclear stress test and then a non stress test to follow that up. Also had to have liver ultrasound....by the time I was ready for surgery, there wasn't an inch of body they hadn't covered and looked at !! There was absolutely nothing that would hamper me from a great recovery.

Re-frame it into something positive -- if there IS something wrong, they have caught it BEFORE you have any symptoms ! Whatever it is, or isn't will be dealt with early on because of all the medical testing.

Take a breath. The testing just showed them what was already happening in your body. Finding out and getting treatment for it is a wonderful benefit of the through testing.

Check back and let us know what it was -- hopefully nothing, or something easy peasy to correct.

I always test positive for blood in my urine. I have had kidney stones in the past and that is all they can find wrong with me. Hang in there!

I also have blood in my urine...always.  I underwent a cystoscopy years ago to check for several things and understand the cause and all they found was that my issue was nothing to be concerned about.  Good luck!
